We started training our GSD puppy with You Lucky Doggy and we can’t be happier with results. Sarah was extremely helpful in scheduling our weekly sessions and Doreen our trainer was the most caring trainer. She answered all our questions through the app and gave us weekly homework and monitored our progress.

Our Approach to Dog Training
You Lucky Doggy's certified trainer Doreen provides private in-home training, customized to fit your dog’s needs in Millbury, MA & surrounding towns.
We believe training your dog, one on one, in their own home where they are the most comfortable, is best for your dog and a great way for the whole family to participate in their training, as consistency is key.
Doreen's training method is positive reinforcement science based training. With positive reinforcement training we use treats, toys, and praise. We will never recommend the use of an electric collar, choke chain, or pinch collar as they can be extremely stressful for your dog and even create behavioral issues. We truly believe no dog is a bad dog and that they are just misunderstood.

Private Training Sessions
Training Consult
Our private training program begins with a one-hour consultation at your home with our experienced trainer, Doreen. During this session, she will discuss your training goals in detail, observe and assess your dog's behavior, and begin the initial training process. Based on her evaluation, Doreen will then recommend the appropriate number of training sessions to best meet your dog's needs.
Cost: $150
Puppy Care Sessions
Our Puppy Care Sessions are great for all new puppy owners. We will help guide you to setting your new puppy up for success. You’ll get a head start on the basic commands and tricks, such as walking on a leash and come when called, that will help shape your new puppy into a well-balanced and loving dog.
We will also ensure that the toys, food, chews, and bedding you have are appropriate for your breed as well as going over any questions/concerns you may have regarding your new pup.
Cost: $130/ 1hr session
These sessions can be both in-person or virtual
Basic Obedience Lessons
Our Basic Obedience sessions are tailored for dogs of all ages. This program instills fundamental commands fostering a bond of trust and understanding between you and your furry friend. Through positive reinforcement and expert guidance, watch as your dog transforms into a well-mannered and responsive companion.

Advanced Obedience Lessons

Train & Transfer Lessons
Do you want your dog to be trained but don't have the time to be present for the training sessions? Let our trainer work with your dog one-on-one, then when your dog is ready and their unwanted behavior has been addressed, she will guide you in understanding and reinforcing your dog's newfound skills from our training sessions.
Cost: $130/ 1hr session

Walk & Train
Our Walk & Train sessions are the perfect blend of exercise and real-world training designed to help your dog build better habits while staying active and fulfilled.
During each visit, our trainer will take your dog on a structured walk while reinforcing essential skills such as loose-leash walking, focus, and responsiveness. This isn’t just a walk, it’s a guided learning experience tailored to your dog’s individual needs and behavior goals.
We focus on consistency, using positive reinforcement techniques to encourage lasting results. Over time, your dog will gain confidence, improve their manners, and become more enjoyable to walk both with our team and with you.
You’ll also receive updates on your dog’s progress, along with tips and guidance so you can continue reinforcing these skills at home.

Nail Desensitization Training
This specialized training program is designed to help your dog feel calm, comfortable, and confident when it comes to nail care.
Using positive reinforcement and a gradual, step-by-step approach, our trainer works with your dog to build trust around paw handling, nail clippers, and the Dremel tool. We focus on desensitization at your dog’s pace, helping reduce fear, anxiety, and resistance commonly associated with nail trims.
This service is ideal for dogs who become stressed, reactive, or fearful during nail care. By the end of the program, your dog will be better prepared to tolerate nail trims at the vet or groomer, making the experience safer and far less stressful for everyone involved.
