We require a meet and greet in your home before services may begin. At this time you can show us where your dog's leash, food, treats and any pet medications are located. We will also go over our payment policy and cancellation policy with you and collect two keys to your home at this time.
Payments are due at the end of the week.
For clients that only require one visit per week, payment is due on that day.
Clients who are going on vacation are required to leave payment on our first visit.
All dog walks and potty break visits must be canceled within 24 hours. Clients will be charged for the scheduled visit if 24 hours notice isn't given.
All vacation customers must cancel within 48 hours. Clients will be charged for all scheduled visits if 48 hours notice isn't given.
We understand that emergencies happen or people get sick so in this case we try to be as flexible with our cancellation policy as possible.
*If school is canceled due to extreme weather conditions our cancellation policy will be waived.
We kindly ask that all clients give two copies of their house key. We keep your keys coded without any identification information on them. We ask for two copies so that we can have your key on hand for any future visits, this avoids our key pickup/drop-off charge of $15 per visit.
Your pet's safety is our main concern as well as the security of your home. Therefore, we do not allow keys to be hidden outside and we will not leave keys locked inside after our last vacation care visit as flights are sometimes delayed.
If you have given us a garage code to gain entry, at least one key must still be provided in case of a power outage or a malfunction of your garage door.
Clients are responsible for their own snow removal, You Lucky Doggy does not provide snow removal services. You Lucky Doggy charges 1.5X regular rate if driveway or pathway have 5 inches or more of snow at time of visit. In the event the snow plow doesn’t clear in time the client can either change time of service or cancel service.
Your pet's safety is our main concern as well as the safety of your home. This is why we don't permit other people in your home while under our care while you're on vacation. We will not be held responsible for accidents/ issues with your pets or home when someone who isn't on the You Lucky Doggy team is involved. Our insurance will not cover both parties.
All clients that are away are required to book at least three "Vacation Care" visits for dogs and one "Cat Visit" for cats daily. This ensures the safety of your pets and your home.
All visits will be within a 2-3 hour window of the agreed arrival time.
If your pet has a history of aggressive behavior or if your pet has no history of aggressive behavior but starts to show new signs of aggression, You Lucky Doggy has the right to refuse service. The owner will be responsible for the pet sitter's medical care expenses and damages that result from an animal bite.
We require all pets to be up to date on all necessary vaccinations. Please provide us a photo copy or email so we can keep our records up to date.
