Sarah, the owner of You Lucky Doggy has provided Grafton, MA and surrounding areas with professional dog walking and pet sitting services since 2015. Her passion for animals and love for dogs is what led her to starting You Lucky Doggy. She takes pride in building long lasting relationships with her clients and their fur babies! She's insured and bonded and is Pet CPR & First Aid Certified.
As a dog owner herself she understands the importance of having someone that you can trust in your home and caring for your best friend when you aren't able to do so yourself. She's the proud owner of a 12 year old golden retriever named Bosco and a 8 year old pitbull named Milli. She's had them since they were 8 weeks old. She's owned a dog as long as she can remember and learned at a young age the importance of taking care of a dog properly. In doing so she has become well educated in proper dog nutrition, socialization and overall well being.
For over ten years she was a nanny and learned that although she loved working with children she knew deep down her true calling was working with animals. So she decided to make a change and worked at a pet store where she learned more on dog behavior and health. She was able to help customers with some of their dog's issues such as diet, food allergies, obedience and grooming questions. After interacting with some of the customers on a regular basis some of them starting asking her if she would walk their dogs. This soon turned into the start of You Lucky Doggy!

“I have been working with dogs for many years, 3 different daycares and now my second dog walking company! There have been MANY dogs in my life and I can honestly say I still love the dogs that have come and gone. It is so rewarding knowing that even taking them out for a walk or a potty break really makes an impact on their day in such a positive way!
I love working for You Lucky Doggy, every dog has such a different personality from another! These dogs have already changed my life in such a positive way. They deserve nothing, but the best so I plan on doing everything I can to make sure they get just that! When coming into each client’s home, you can instantly feel the love between the dog and their family. It really makes the job so worth it. It’s such a pleasure working at YLD and I can’t wait to see what the future has in store for us!”
“I’ve always loved animals. Since childhood, I consistently had dogs and cats. When I was ready to transition into semi-retirement, I started working at a local shelter, as an Adoption Counselor. After a few years I figured out that I needed something in addition to this. Seeing sad things day after day is taxing on my heart. That is when I discovered You Lucky Doggy. Now my days off from the shelter can be spent walking dogs who are loved and cherished by their owners!”
“I’ve always loved animals ever since I was a little girl. This love of animals did not go unnoticed by those around me which lead to being the go-to person in my family for all petsitting needs, which I was always more than happy to help with.
I decided to chase my love of animals and pursued an education in an animal centered field, going to college for my Pre-Vet degree to help care for all pets, big and small.
I’m the proud and loving owner of a 15 year old cat named Simon, a 5 month old kitten named Sadie, and an 8 year old off-the-track Thoroughbred named Playboy (adoringly called Peebo on the farm). Because of my animals, I know just how important it is to make sure they all have the love and care they need.
Working for You Lucky Doggy, I the opportunity to care for each and every client as if they were my own, and make sure they have the best experience possible. Not having a dog myself, I love having the opportunity to play with and love every cat and dog during my visits!”
